MR PORTER And Octopus Energy: The Latest Big Name Brands To Join MAD//Fest Line-Up

MR PORTER’s Global Marketing Director, Sabah Naqushbandi, and Octopus Energy’s CMO, Rebecca Dibb-Simkin, are among the latest senior brand marketers to confirm their place on the MAD//Fest line-up in July at The Old Truman Brewery. 

Naqushbandi and Dibb- Simkin are among a string of new speakers announced by the MAD//Fest. They will join 175 global brands, disruptors and agency legends who will be tackling the ‘No Guts, No Glory’ theme this July. 

MR PORTER, part of the YOOX Net-a-Porter Group, is one of the original fashion tech disruptors. At its helm is Naqushbandi, a true marketing heavyweight. She is responsible for MR PORTER’s global marketing, with a team of over 70, spanning three continents, and has transformed the brand into an award winning, globally recognised luxury online pioneer. 

Once a new challenger brand but now very much a retail leader in men’s fashion for over 10 years, Naqushbandi will take to the MAD//Fest stage to talk about how MR PORTER retains its original disruptive edge, evolves and manages to stay relevant in a constantly changing world. 

Dibb-Simkin heads up the marketing department for Octopus Energy Group, a brand that is shaking up the status quo by specialising in renewable energy, in what is a very traditional sector. The brand, founded only 7 years ago, has led the way in innovation with cloud based billing, novel use of data science and AI. This has resulted in Octopus delivering affordable, green energy to a very impressive 3 million people.

Over 7,000 brands and agencies are expected to attend MAD//Fest London 2022, 3,000 more than 2021 when MAD//Fest was the only UK industry festival to take place in physical form.  Other speakers for the 2022 edition include Rachel Waller, Global VP Innovation, Burberry; Cristina Diezhandino, Global CMO, Diageo; Tina Koehler, Global VP Marketing, Deliveroo; James Brown, MD, BrewDog; and Sir Martin Sorrell, Founder & CEO, S4 Capital.
