Sir Martin Sorrell To Give 2022-23 Growth Forecast At MAD//MeetMarket
30 Sep, 2021
Having just raised S4's revenue forecast for the third time this year, Sir Martin Sorrell will share an in-depth view on the industry's prospects in 2022-23 at MAD//MeetMarket on 2 February.
S4 Capital Executive Chairman Sir Martin Sorrell will kick off MAD//MeetMarket with a 2022-23 marketing forecast on 2 February at The Old Truman Brewery.
Sir Martin’s session at MAD//MeetMarket will provide a comprehensive growth forecast and outline the economic, consumer and digital trends that will define the industry in 2022.
Nicknamed ‘The Sage of Soho’, Sir Martin’ S4 Capital last month raised its revenue forecast for the third time this year. S4 has increased its revenue forecast to +40%, up from 25% at the start of the year - growth that Sir Martin says is more akin to the likes of tech businesses such as Google and Facebook than adland.
Back at MAD//Fest London in July, Sir Martin called for the industry to avoid the “albatross around the neck” of traditional business and shift investment and focus to digital. Sir Martin said he was “very bullish” about 2022 but struck a more cautious tone for 2023, when he expects GDP growth to slow to 2-3%.
MAD//MeetMarket is a new event concept from MAD//Fest London that will connect top brands with the most relevant innovation through a series of pre-organised one-to-one meetings, keynotes, speed networking, masterclasses and social events. In true MAD//Fest style, MAD//MeetMarket will see the Old Truman Brewery transformed into a vibrant winter marketplace packed with pitches, food pop-ups and lively entertainment. Attendees can expect a highly curated programme of relevant meetings and keynotes delivered by global brands and disruptors.
“You only have to look at the number of column inches devoted to S4 to know that when Sir Martin talks about the future, the industry, analysts and media listen. So what better way is there to start your day than rocking up at MAD//MeetMarket and digging deep into where the world is heading over a good breakfast with the UK's biggest brands?”, said Dan Brain, MAD//Fest’s Co-founder.
“We’re all looking for clarity amid the disruption and accelerated digital change caused by COVID. So we’re excited to launch a new and highly curated one-to-one meeting format that will bring the industry together to collaboratively address the challenges of the day. Look out for details of some amazing speakers, content features and DJs very soon.”
