W+K Adland Legend Susan Hoffman Added To MAD//Fest Line-Up

22 Apr, 2022

Wieden + Kennedy superstar, Susan Hoffman, no stranger to challenging the status quo, will take to the Hexagon Stage at MAD//Fest in July

Wieden+Kennedy’s, (W+K), Susan Hoffman Hoffman is the latest of star names from the world of advertising and marketing to confirm their place on MAD//Fest London’s line-up this summer. She will join 175 blue-chip brands, cutting edge disruptors, and agency legends who will tackle the ‘No Guts, No Glory, theme this July at The Old Truman Brewery.

Hoffman, who, 40 years ago, was the 8th employee of W+K, the world’s largest independent agency, is the embodiment of a true adland legend. She has spent the past four decades making a lasting, unmistakable mark, not only on W+K, but also the wider advertising world.

She has greatly contributed to the wider global W+K network - opening the Amsterdam and London offices, serving both as executive creative director; as well as ECD gigs in Portland, New York and Delhi, thereby bringing a unique taste of the W+K culture to the global level.

Her body of work is well-known throughout the world, having helped create iconic campaigns for some of the world’s best known brands including, Nike, Old Spice, Levi’s, and Chrysler. Unsurprisingly, Hoffman has been highly decorated and awarded, winning Lions and Pencils aplenty. Perhaps lesser known is that along the way she has introduced the world to director superstars such as Michael Bay and David Fincher.

“It’s wonderful to have Susan Hoffman take to the stage this July,” said Luke Wilcox, MAD//Fest London’s director of content. “Through her work, she has always had a tendency to shake things up a bit and challenge the status quo. Her back catalogue of ads and campaigns is like a cultural tour of the past 40 years. The Nike ‘Revolution’ advert, whilst controversial, has become to be considered one of the best ads of all-time. I can think of no person better placed to tackle our ‘No Guts, No Glory’ theme”

Over 7,000 brands and agencies are expected to attend MAD//Fest London 2022, 3,000 more than 2021 when MAD//Fest was the only UK industry festival to take place in physical form.  Other speakers for the 2022 edition include Rachel Waller, Global VP Innovation, Burberry; Cristina Diezhandino, Global CMO, Diageo; Tina Koehler, Global VP Marketing, Deliveroo; James Brown, MD, BrewDog; and Sir Martin Sorrell, Founder & CEO, S4 Capital.
