Introducing The MAD//Fest Arms - the Pub of Things
By Dan Brain, Content & Marketing Director, MAD//Fest London12 October, 2018
When we launched MAD//Fest at The Old Truman Brewery and came up with the concept of replacing the traditional expo with a pub, we knew we were running the gauntlet of one or two people thinking MAD//Fest might be a piss up in a brewery...
Echoing Baldrick, we had a cunning plan...
The MAD//Fest Arms will not just be a sociable space to indulge the national pastime and toast new relationships. It will be a place where the cream of the marketing crop can experience first-hand how IoT can bring brands to life (and make ordering your favourite tipple much more exciting).
So we’re proud to launch The MAD//Fest Arms: the Pub of Things (PoT), a collaboration with IoT agency Sharp End and an expanding list of brands who are putting their products in our connected pub.
We’d like to say a big thank you to Pernod-Ricard and Sharp End founder Cameron Worth for transforming The MAD//Fest Arms into east London’s most technologically sophisticated boozer (probably).
“Teaming up with MAD//Fest is a fantastic creative collaboration and an opportunity to demonstrate how tech is enabling some of the world’s top brands to re-imagine the experience of their products,” said Cam.
MAD//Fest London provides the opportunity for attendees to experience brands through the lens of emerging and immersive tech. We have the UK’s only Magic Leap mixed reality headset and the chance to try a range of VR brand experiences in our Experience Experiential showcase with Somo.
On stage, don’t miss Disney CMO Anna Hill and Domino’s CMO Tony Holdway reveal how technologies such as AI and VR are transforming the brand experience.
It’s just 6 weeks until show time and we’re excited to announce yet another feature that will add to the vibrancy of MAD//Fest. If you’re a brand owner and would like to put your product in our connected pub, get in touch with Cam or contact the MAD//Fest team.
