No strategy, no success - Brightcove SVP on video trends

Around 544 BC, the Chinese military general Sun Tzu wrote strategy without tactics is the slowest route to victory. Tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat.

The same could be said for video marketing in 2018.

Without a strategy, you’re shooting in the dark, says Mark Blair, SVP International Operations at cloud video platform Brightcove.

You can’t measure it, you’re not going to get the results, you’re not going to get the outcomes. Start with the strategy and work from there.

Mark says brands must embrace a cross-device mindset for video and ensure that their content is accessible wherever people are trying to access it.

So what will be big video trends in the year ahead? Here is Mark’s view on how brands can capitalise on video trends in 2019.
