Tristan Thomas Monzo MAD//Picnic 10 July

If you love hearing from entrepreneurs, creatives, tech-savvy advertisers and the most disruptive forces in marketing, you’ll be pleased to know that Monzo Head of Marketing Tristan Thomas and Bulb CMO Russell Davies are the latest brands to join the MAD//Picnic speaker line-up on 10 July.

Bulb, the UK’s fastest growing start-up, has set its mission to disrupt the big six in the energy market. The growth of Bulb has been staggering (870,000 customers as of last December) and its offer of renewable energy, cheaper prices and a straightforward onboarding process has gained widespread appeal, particularly among millennial customers.

Likewise, Monzo is a celebrated story of disruption in financial services.. Until now, Monzo has achieved impressive growth of 50,000-100,000 new users per month largely via word of mouth. It has now embarked on its first paid advertising to accelerate growth.

Just a few years ago, it would have been difficult to imagine categories like financial services and energy being disrupted by start-ups who use product innovation, slick customer experience and savvy marketing to take on established contenders.

It’s a pleasure to have Tristan and Russell on board for MAD//Picnic as they gear-up for the next phase of growth in their respective businesses.

Russell and Tristan will be speaking alongside leaders from Amazon, Google, Not On The High Street, Missguided + many more at MAD//Picnic on 10 July. Click here for the speaker line-up.
