KFC, Time Out, Weetabix - Meet MAD//Fest's New Columnists

14 Jan, 2022

MAD//Fest has signed up a roster of new columnists for 2022 including adland legend Vicki Maguire, KFC CMO Jack Hinchliffe, and newly appointed Time Out Media CEO, Mary Keane-Dawson.

One of MAD//Fest’s many New Year’s resolutions, alongside this year’s festival being the best yet, is to ensure that our weekly newsletter features diverse voices, fantastic opinion pieces and discussion of the issues that matter most to the marketing community.

Therefore, we have recruited a few of the great and the good to be regular contributors and columnists for the MAD//Fest newsletter. During a time of seismic and exciting change, each week they’ll provide you with their distinctive views and unique perspectives on the industry we all love.

Last week we had Vicki Maguire talk optimistically about how the past two years are kick-starting a wave of creativity. This week’s newsletter sees WW VP Growth and Performance Marketing Tony Miller make his debut in a piece praising several brands for driving loyal communities who will be “the bedrock of any brands marketing strategy”.

MAD//Fest Columnists include:

Jack Hinchliffe, CMO, KFC
Vicki Maguire, CCO, Havas London
Gareth Turner, Head of Marketing, Weetabix
Maria McDowell, Founder, lollipop mentoring
Tony Miller, VP Growth and Performance, WW (formerly Weight Watchers)
Mary Keane-Dawson, Global CEO, Time Out Media
Ben Philips, Founder, BLP 101
Paul Frampton, President, Control v Exposed

“It’s exciting to start the year by announcing the first batch of regular columnists columnists for MAD//Insight. Each week they’ll present their big ideas, connect the dots, and make sense of the marketing game in 2022,” said Luke Wilcox, MAD//Fest's Director of Content.

“In a time of uncertainty and immense disruption, our contributors will give our readers cause for optimism. Expect plenty of good ideas and practical tips in line with our 2022 MAD//Fest London theme, 'No Guts, No Glory'.

"MAD//Insight is a key part of the MAD//Fest community and we'd love to hear from industry leaders and disruptors who want to get involved and join the debate."
