Stephen Woodford To Chair The Independent Agency Of The Year Award 2022

06 May, 2022

Stephen Woodford, CEO of the Advertising Association will be the Judging Chair of the flagship category, the Independent Agency Of The Year 2022, at the awards which is being held at MAD//Fest London on 5 July

Prior to joining the AA, Woodford held management roles in four ad agency groups - Leo Burnett, WCRS/Engine, DDB/adam&eveDDB, and Next 15 - and was previously president of advertising a media non-profit NABS. He was also president of advertising professional body the IPA from 2003-05.

Independent Agency of the Year will be awarded to the one agency who represents and is demonstrably championing all that is great about being an independent. The risk taking and game changing agency that’s doing work that is impossible to ignore. And the agency that displays an outstanding internal, people-focussed, and socially responsible culture.

Each entry will include a separate section to allow agencies to fly the flag for those purpose-based initiatives that go beyond the everyday business of solving client problems and aren’t part of the entry criteria. This award is not for the agency with the most awards for their work; it’s for the agency that’s as good on the inside as its outside reputation suggests.

The Independent Agency Awards exist to celebrate and promote independent agencies.
