AI: Overblown Gimmick Or The Future of Innovation + Creativity?
17 July 2020
Depending on what you read, AI will steal your job, rid you of life’s mundane tasks or change the face of marketing forever.
Distinguishing fact from fiction in the fast-paced world of AI is a huge challenge for businesses, individuals and society. Do you reject it, fight against it or lovingly embrace it as the new enabler of innovation + creativity?
That’s why MAD//Fest has teamed up with RARE Design to produce AI, innovation + creativity: does the reality live up to the hype? – a new survey and report designed to gauge the industry’s view on how AI is being used by brands, agencies and the creative community in the real world.
The report aims to understand how people are using AI machine learning for innovation projects, brand building, creative ventures and solving business challenges. The research will also measure ethical concerns, barriers to using AI and how it will change businesses in the future.
“From Chatbots to Ad Targeting, Behaviour Analysis and Predictive Analytics, the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) for marketing purposes is not new. However, from the many conversations I have had with people, there is still scepticism and a perception that AI is a gimmicky, buzzword,” says James Hirst, RARE’s MD.
“We are looking to understand the attitudes towards and use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the marketing industry. In particular we want to hear from the community as to how AI is currently being used from a design and innovation perspective, to help generate ideas and solve strategic and creative business challenges,” he added.
You can have your say by completing this short survey before 7 August.
The survey will take about 4 minutes and you could win one of 10 VIP tickets for MAD//Fest to give away + a bespoke AI-driven product development prototype thanks to RARE Design! You’ll also be first to get a copy of the report as soon as it is published.
