“The most important factor in survival is neither intelligence nor strength but adaptability.”

Charles Darwin

Given how 2020 has played out, it’s a good job that the MAD//Fest team are an adaptable bunch!

In light of current UK government rules, clearly several thousand people gathering at The Old Truman Brewery isn’t something that can happen next month (and it would have us locked up, which would be an epic Darwinian fail!)

So we thought we’d take the time to let you know how we’re adapting and what you can expect to see from MAD//Fest over the coming months.

MAD//Anywhere

Firstly, I’d like to introduce you to our new virtual event brand, MAD//Anywhere.

Building on the success of MAD//Fest × DMEXCO + the 99//Club Digital Festival, you can expect fast-paced content, brand innovation pitches, interactivity, entertainment and creative experiences that play to the possibilities of digital at MAD//Anywhere throughout 2020 and 2021.

MAD//Anywhere is based on the premise that you should be able to enjoy MAD//Fest’s distinctive brand of digital content and community anywhere –  any country, any location, any screen, live or on-demand.

In other words, MAD//Anywhere is a truly multi-platform experience to hear amazing speakers, connect with marketers and interact with the global marketing community.

MAD//Anywhere’s first event will be on 11-12 Nov (the same dates MAD//Fest was due to take place). We will also run a MAD//Anywhere event in spring 2021 so we can give marketers another hit of inspiring ideas, insight and innovation to help navigate choppy waters…

MAD//Fest London gets a summer makeover!

Wave goodbye to donning your long johns and queuing in the November drizzle and say hello to a summer MAD//Fest London on 7-8 July!

Expect 4,000+ industry leaders, 150+ speakers, multiple £20k innovation pitches from top global brands, al fresco 1to1 networking, tech experiences, DJs and London’s top street food at the industry’s uniquely invite-only festival. And if you can’t be at MAD//Fest London in July, all the action will be available on our live stream.

On a serious note, whilst we’d love to be running face-to-face events right now, it’s important to do the right thing, embrace new digital opportunities and build a sensible roadmap back to a bustling MAD//Fest London show in July.

At the same time, we believe strongly in being creative, adapting our approach for digital and not simply dumping conferences online.

We’re heartened by the support we’ve received from speakers, sponsors, attendees and partners for our digital endeavours. Likewise, we’re excited by the feedback we’ve had from daring to do something different in the virtual events space and the results it has achieved for our partners. This gives us confidence to innovate, experiment and create events that stand out from the crowd.

Of course we’ve got plenty more surprises, collaborations and global events planned, stay tuned for the latest announcements.
