How To Turn Disruption Into Competitive Advantage: Rory Sutherland To Speak At MAD//Fest’s DMEXCO@home Takeover
2 September 2021
Ogilvy Vice-chair Rory Sutherland will share how brands can turn recent disruption into competitive advantage in a special MAD//Fest content takeover at DMEXCO@home on 8 September.
MAD//Fest is hosting a 1 hour session at DMEXCO@home focused on how innovation, creativity and understanding behavioural change can help marketers to turn disruption into opportunity and commercial advantage. Split into two parts, the first session will see Burger King Brand and Communications Director Soco Núñez de Cela share how Burger King’s response to the pandemic has been defined by agility, clever creative and innovative, reactive marketing. The second part will see Sutherland share his take on emerging power shifts and the role of creativity, innovation and behavioural science in outsmarting the competition. The session will be hosted by Co:Cubed Founder/CEO Jeremy Basset and MAD//Fest London Co-founder Dan Brain.
Held virtually for the second year, DMEXCO will bring together the global marketing community for a series of virtual keynotes, masterclasses and meetings. Speakers who will tackle this year’s ‘Setting New Priorities’ theme include Marc-Aurel Boersc, CEO Nestlé Deutschland AG, Arjan Dijk, CMO and SVP, Booking.com and Raja Rajamannar, CMO, Mastercard. “Rory is an incredible raconteur and a one-off when it comes to making sense of a much-changed world and what's needed to adapt, survive and thrive. We could all do with some clarity right now and Rory will bring his trademark offbeat observations, humour and strategic thinking to the DMEXCO@home masses," said Dan Brain, MAD//Fest London’s Co-founder.
“Rory and Soco are a powerful combo if you want to know how to adapt and gain an edge as the dust settles from the pandemic,” he added.
