MAD//Fest London, Europe’s largest gathering of brands this summer, opens its doors on 2-4 July, Old Truman Brewery for a scaled-up festival featuring headline speakers including Actor/Activist Eddie Izzard, Mathematician/Broadcaster Professor Hannah Fry and new L’Oréal CDMO Laetitia Raoust.

This year’s MAD//Fest London is set to welcome 12,000+ brand/agency attendees across The Old Truman Brewery and features more than 250 top speakers, live £20k innovation pitch briefs from The LEGO Group, Boots and Colgate-Palmolive, and brand activations from Diageo, Havana Club, Sticks ‘N’ Sushi, Gipsy Hill Brewery, Hoppers, Tenzing and Liquid Death.

Bucking the trend of shrinking industry events, the new expanded multi-venue festival site spans more than 1/4sqm of The Old Truman Brewery Estate and features 10 topical stages - Kantar Marketplace Hexagon, Snapchat Creator Economy, DEPT Creativity, DigiAds, ATTENTION!, Brand Innovation, Uncensored CMO: Backstage at MAD//Fest, AI + Emerging Tech, Newsworks Speakeasy and the Female Leaders’ Club.

2024’s theme is ‘Fortune Favours The Bold’. Raoust’s opening keynote will reflect on how marketing is changing and why now is a good time to be a marketer. L’Oréal has upped its ad spend to €13.36 billion in the last year and continues to invest in emerging technology to help consumers discover and engage with beauty products.

Professor Hannah Fry’s headliner (2 July) will focus on the opportunities and challenges of AI for marketers, and how understanding how the algorithms work mathematically can help practitioners make better business decisions.
