+ What I hope for in 2024

In order to succeed in 2024, businesses large and small will recognise the need for validation via market research. It will save them a tonne of money in the long run.

+ What do I expect to happen in 2024?

More companies will recognise that marketing is the engine that powers business. Those destined to excel in 2024 will follow the path of marketing diligence, with full knowledge of all the marketing levers at their disposal. Their marketing teams will not be siloed, instead they will be front and centre in the business.

+ What I hope for in 2024

I hope for more marketers to be proactive in taking the reins of their marketing careers, so they are happening for them and not to them, by investing in developing their and their teams holistic skills especially deepening their personal understanding to be successful and gain fulfillment in their careers and lives as a whole. I wish for the marketing profession is that in 2024 is the year that burnout in the profession is not only acknowledged but proactive action is taken to make change and to aid prevention.

I expect that there will be more organisations going through significant periods of change and pressure and that strategic clarity will be absolutely essential to ensure choices are clear and we keep our people motivated.

+ What I hope for in 2024

Hello and HNY to one and all! It is my greatest hope that this year the leaders of our societies can find the ways and means to deliver peaceful solutions to the excruciating and deadly conflicts that are spreading far and wide like out of control wildfires across our already overheating planet. The global geo-political map is in a state of flux, and this undoubtedly impacts on all aspects of business, culture and society. 

+ What do I expect to happen in 2024?

The above has a major impact on everyone, but especially those of us who work in advertising, marketing and related technologies. Our communities need to be ready for even more roller coaster moments, especially in light of the imminent launch of Apple's Vision Pro VAR headset, which will deliver deeply immersive entertainment experiences, the increasing acceptance and use of AI as a utility driven largely by consumer adoption and demand, and the likely implosion of X, potentially handing Threads et al even more power and influence over the traditional news platforms. Finally, I predict that there will be a significant boom in media spend driven by the US elections. My recommended motto for 2024 is 'Be Prepared'...

Finally, I am certain of one thing, MAD//Fest will be BIGGER, BETTER and MORE ENTERTAINING than ever!! Looking forward to seeing you there.
