Marketing technology and data are a big growth opportunity but it’s important to not lose sight of the fact that we are a people-based industry, according to Control v Exposed President EMEA Paul Frampton.

“Being agile, using data, using tech – but remember we are in the business of people. Marketing can drive growth but it needs to operate at the highest level,” he said whilst wrapping up last month’s MAD//Fest x DMEXCO@home event.

Frampton added that marketers must take lessons from how platforms Amazon and uber have changed consumer expectations. He is called for marketing to become the key driver of growth, innovation and transformation.

Over 90 speakers from brands including Just-Eat, Fever-Tree, LVMH, Diageo and Mars spoke at the virtual event, which was a collaboration with DMEXCO.
