Job Title - Business Development Manager

Reporting to - Commercial Director

Who we are…

Dull trade shows have had their day. Now 4 years old, MAD//Fest London is the new marketplace where marketing, advertising and disruptive tech leaders come together to fix industry issues, pitch visionary ideas and hack innovative solutions to brand challenges.

It’s the space where top brands, agencies, publishers and disruptive forces can seamlessly connect, form new relationships and have fun in the heart of London’s marketing, advertising + tech scene.

Key responsibilities include:

- Pitch MAD//Fest's event sponsorship + content solutions to adtech/martech firms, ad platforms + agencies + secure new business

-Build + grow relationships with both existing + new clients. Your client lists will be a blend of new business accounts + current clients (70:30 split). For current clients you will have a y-o-y growth targets

- Create + present for approval your own personal sales plan, which will highlight how you will achieve + ideally exceed your annual target - to be presented and agreed by the Commercial Director.

- Work closely with all areas of the MAD//Fest business including content, marketing, project management + operations, to ensure each client is helped to meet their objectives, with the right blend of internal resource

- Continuously research + raise awareness of competitor activity, trends + news throughout the industry in order to effectively identify new commercial opportunities. We will identify key events and new events that you will monitor and present back to the team.

- Attend competitor events throughout the UK, Europe + US where necessary

- Play an active role in the growth of the company, actively contributing ideas for new products + giving your feedback on all aspects of team discussions

-Regularly work in the London office with the team mirroring the Commercial Director when possible.

What we need:

- Minimum of 3 years sales experience within the marketing & advertising services and events world

- Excellent relationships in adtech, martech, ad platforms and marketing services

-A proven track record in meeting + exceeding targets

- Experience selling both event + content partnerships

- A self starter who can work effectively within a very fast paced + fluid environment

- Strong prospecting + new business development skills

- Competent proposal writing + presentation skills

- A network of contacts within adtech, marctech, media + creative agency world

- Excellent references
